Max the Mouse is supposed to be meeting his friend Reena at the zoo. The problem is that the zoo is rather crowded and Max is having a hard time finding Reena. Max has driven to the zoo in his little zebra striped jeep. Hoping that he will be able to see Reena better, Max has climbed to high spot. Can you see the two mice?
Not finding Reena Max has driven on through the zoo asking people, and creatures, if they have seen his friend. Can you see Max and Reena as they wander through the zoo trying to find one another?
At last, in the monkey area, the two little mice find one another. Can you see them together? At long last they have connected and Reena can now show Max her house. Turn the page and you can see her house for youself. It is rather exotic, and full of mice for Reena has a large family!
In this entertaining board book readers will not only get to follow Max and Reena's story, but they also will have an enjoyable time trying to find Max and Reena in the wonderfully busy double page illustrations. There is so much to look at on the pages that even after Max and Reena have been found, readers will find themselves continuing to look at the illustrations, following other mini stories that are taking place before their eyes. A pull out at the back of the book is a perfect conclusion to a thoroughly enjoyable bookish exploration.
