French Revolution

The French Revolution was a costly and bloody conflict that lasted from 1789 to 1899. It began when the French people decided that they no longer wanted to be governed by a monarch. The French kings and the clergy had cruely taxed the French people for generations, and there finally came a time when the people wanted a change. Unfortunately the revolution spun out of control, and many people lost their lives.
