Nonfiction Board Book

Many children imagine that the lives of animals are very different from our own, and in some ways they are. However all animals have to eat, and in this cunning little board book children will get to see how some familiar animals get the nutrition that they need to survive.
We begin with a creature that most children recognize. Who can resist the black and white furry face of a giant panda. We are told in the text that the giant panda likes to munch on bamboo.
Next we meet an otter, and it is gnawing on a fish. We learn that otters have whiskers and that they use their tail to propel them through the water.
Further on in the book we meet a caterpillar, a squirrel, an anteater, a chicken, and a giraffe.
For each animal we are given two photos, one of which is annotated, a wonderful sound word like “crunch” and “sluuurp,” and some sections of informative text.
