Young children love exploring and finding surprises. They like discovering new things and places. In this clever board novelty book, little children are encouraged to turn the pages to discover new things to look at.

The book begins by showing children a picture of a rolling ball of yarn, which we are told is “in a little house.” Through the die-cut image of a house, we see a red and white checked design. What is this? When we turn the page, we see that the red and white pattern belongs to a tiled floor in the house and there is a cat walking across it. It would appear that the cat is ready to play with the rolling ball of yarn.

On another spread, we see a bright blue bucket, and on the facing page, there is a die-cut image of a shovel. Through the die-cut, we see a surface covered with orange dots. When we turn the page and we discover a sandy beach with a little crab on it.

As they look through this book, little children will enjoy trying to guess what is on the next page, and trying to figure out what they are seeing through the die-cut windows.
