It is harvest time at Grandma and Grandpa's farm. It is a very special time because it means that Grandma and Grandpa must start creating scarecrows for the fields. The two old people get out some wonderful old fashioned clothes and soon Sarah is helping her grandparents in their preparations. As they create their beautifully dressed scarecrows Sarah's grandparents tell her a wonderful story about why they, and all their neighbours, choose to dress their scarecrows in such clothes and how the scarecrows have a very special and magical quality about them.

Light filled watercolour washed paintings provide a wonderful backdrop for an original and magical story which has the flavor of a wonderful autumn tradition, the colours of the season, and a sense of love which connects the generations.
