There's a cow in the cabbage patch
Illustrator: Clare Beaton
Board Book
For ages 1 to 3
Barefoot Books, 2002 ISBN: 978-1841489612
The animals on the farm are all behaving in a very naughty way. The cow is in the cabbage patch when she should be in the dairy. In the dairy the owl is flying around when it should be in the old barn. The rooster is calling "cock-a-doodle-doo" in the stable when he should be in the henhouse. What should the farmer and his wife do to get all the animals back where they belong?
Little children will greatly enjoy this board book with its rascally animals and its very clever farmers. They will also enjoy looking at the unique illustrations that were created using fabrics, beads, colored thread, and buttons. The picture 'quilts' that are Clare Beaton's specialty are bright, cheerful and incredibly creative.
