Building a robot is a complicated business. There are so many parts, each one of which needs to be put in the right place in the right order. There are cogs that will need to turn, bolts that will need to be tightened, and countless other small pieces that will need to be put in place.

If you decide to go ahead and make a robot, don’t forget to give your creation one mouth, a pair of eyes, and two arms. Most important of all, don’t forget that a robot is not just a “pile of parts.” What you put inside the robot is what is going to “make him tick.”

Children who like machines and books that have moving components are going to love this title. Not only are the novelty features fun to explore, but the simple little story conveys an important message that has a universal appeal.
