Let us go on a wonderful adventure into a world that you probably know already - the world of art. Only this time let's do it with a fresh approach and with an excellent guidebook to help us. This is the guidebook and it will take you to places that you never imagined existed and introduce you to ideas that are new and exciting.
We will begin the fundamentals. These include: "be your own boss," "stay safe," and "have fun." These ideas may sound obvious but sometimes they are forgotten. Next we move on to the main portion of the book.
The book is divided into four sections. One is about drawing, one is about "creating with color," the third is about making sculptures, and the last section is about combining media of different kinds to make pieces of art that are truly unique.
The book covers everything from understanding what perspective is and how to create it, to learning how to make a mobile using a coat hanger and items that you may find lying around the house. Each project includes a list of the "artists tools" that are needed for the project, and carefully written and easy to understand directions.
