Wilma the sheep is very busy because today is her birthday and she is hosting a party. Carefully she hangs up decorations and balloons. A picnic table is covered with delicious things to eat and drink.
Soon Wilma’s guests start to arrive, the first one being Howie the rabbit, who gives Wilma a lovely straw hat trimmed with a red ribbon. Next Lola the duck brings Wilma a beautiful and shiny trumpet, and Bob the pig’s gift is a large orange and yellow umbrella. None of the guests imagine that Wilma has a surprise for them.
Young children are sure to enjoy this delightful little story. The illustrations are warm and sweet, and on every page there is an interesting textured surface to explore. Children will be delighted when they see what Wilma’s surprise is.
