As the days get cooler and when the wind is gusting outdoors, it is always fun to spend a few hours indoors making interesting crafts. With some easy to find household objects and basic craft supplies you can make all kinds of fall themed items which will make wonderful gifts for friends and family. Have you ever noticed that large furry black and orange caterpillars called woolly bears can be seen all over the place in the fall? Well now you can make your own woolly bear caterpillars out of cardboard which you can use to hold woolly bear races with your friends.

For Halloween you can make a treat holder that looks like a bat and a black cat decoration for the table. And to remind you that fall is harvest time you can make a funny looking apple fob for the zipper on your jacket or on your book bag.

In all there are twenty craft activities in this book which will engage young crafters for many hours. Each activity has easy-to-follow directions which are clearly illustrated and which include a complete list of needed materials. Many of the activities are so easy to do that young children will be able to complete them on their own. Better still they will be delighted when they see how beautifully their creations turn out.
