Spot's First Walk

Spot's First Walk

Eric Hill
Novelty Board Book
For ages 2 to 4
Penguin, 2004   ISBN: 978-0142400852

Spot is going out for his first walk alone, and of course there are all sorts of places for a little puppy to explore and look at. There are fence holes to go through, gardening shed doors to peer behind, odd noises to investigate, and pretty smells to look for. There are also bones to dig up, and ponds to fall in. Spot can never be certain what he is going to see around the next corner, but he can be sure that whatever he finds is going to be new and interesting.

Little readers will greatly enjoy exploring Spot’s world with him, and they will have no difficulty relating to the adventures that he has. There are flaps to lift on almost every page, and Eric Hill’s companionable little puppy is, as always, a pleasure to read about.
