It has snowed and school has been cancelled. Mark and his sister Molly are outside in the snow and instead of making snowmen they are making big, beautiful snowhorses. At night the two children sneak out and by the light of the cold glittery moon the slide onto the backs of their snowhorses.

Then the most remarkable thing happens. Mark’s snowhorse whinnies and its beautiful eyes flash brightly. Molly’s horse shakes its head and the two horses rise to their feet. Thus begins the most amazing ride imaginable in a beautiful moonlit landscape. Only when the early morning train is see flashing across the countryside do the two children turn the heads of their wonderful horses and head for home.

In glorious watercolors and with a very simple descriptive text which catapults the reader on a wild ride across a crisp and bright.
