little girl is waiting for her father to come home and as she waits in a snowy outdoors world she imagines what it would be like if she were a snow princess complete with a snow white palace to live in, beautifully dressed courtiers to spend time with, a lavish banquet to eat, a dance to watch, and a pet dragon which she can ride through the skies. Why, with such a dragon for a pet she could even fly over the city to guide her father home.
Minimal text and large carefully executed full page artwork make this picture book a great treat for young readers. The little girl's magical imaginary world blends easily with the snow filled world that she really lives in, a world where her snow fort is a castle and where her sled is a lithe green dragon.
