Smiley Shark is the friendliest - and smiliest - shark in the sea. His biggest disappointment in life is that every time the other fish see him and his huge toothy smile coming their way, they swim way. He asks Angelfish to play with him but she is too terrified of him to want to be anywhere near his enormous smile. He wants to blow bubbles with Puffer but Puffer just pricks Smiley on the nose before swimming away as fast as he can.

All this rejection is beginning to get Smiley down and his smile fades until he looks quite glum. Then he sees that all the fish he so wanted to be with have been caught in a net. Smiley Shark is going to have to do something to save them but what can he do? Is it possible that his smile can help in this situation in some way?

This engaging board book is sure to give young readers something to smile about. With its likeable toothy hero and its cheerful colorful illustrations, it is the kind of title little children will turn to again and again.
