Skippyjon Jones, the Siamese kitten who thinks he is a Chihuahua, is Mars mad. In fact, he is so Mars mad that he decides to make his bed red, like the planet. With a hefty sprinkling of his mother’s red cooking spice, Skippy’s bed – and much of his furry person – is soon red. Now he is ready to go into space to see if Martian creatures are real or if they are “fable-itos.”

Into his closet Skippy goes, and in no time he is blasting off into space. He hasn’t been blasting for long before he runs into his Chihuahua friends, the Los Chimichangos crowd. They are on their way to Mars to build a pipeline from Mars to Earth because apparently the spice on Mars is “muy caliente.” Who knew?

Skippy is delighted when he finally gets to see an honest to goodness genuine “Martian-ito.” Unfortunately the Martians are very interested in Skippy’s prized possessions. What is the little cat going to do now?

Skippyjon Jones fans of all ages will love this new Skippy adventure. Packed with goofy adventures, nutty rhymes, and deliciously silly illustrations, this is a book that will most certainly cause a giggle outbreak.
