Skippyjon Jones, the Siamese kitten, is up to no good – again. This time he is in Mrs. Dolly Doohiggy’s yard digging up bones. The bad thing is that the bones belong to Mrs. Doohiggy’s dog, Darwin. When Skippyjon’s Mama finds out what her son has been doing she is none too pleased and she orders Skippyjon to take the bones back to Darwin at once. However Skippyjon is far too busy gluing his bone onto his Skipposaurus model. And once he has done that he is far too busy slipping into his Skippito Friskito costume so that he can go into his closet where he is sure he will find dinosaurs.

In the jungle in his closet Skippito picks up the scent of his old “amigos,” the merry band of Chihuahuas. The little dogs are toasting prehistoric marshmallows and they tell Skippito that they want to see a real dinosaur with their own eyes.

Sooner than anyone expected the doggies get their wish. T. Mexito comes stomping through the jungle and he has brought some of his pals with him. Not only that, but all the dinosaurs are dancing. Before Skippito can stop them the Chihuahuas are out there dancing with the enormous dinosaurs. If Skippito doesn’t do something his little friends are going to be “crushed like crispitos beneath the dinos’ toes-titos.”

Little dinosaur fans are going to love this Skippyjon Jones adventure. Full of hilarious rhymes, and with an often deliciously silly use of words, Judy Schachner has created yet another picture book which will have children giggling. Full page multimedia illustrations rendered in bright colors perfectly compliment the story.
