It is Thanksgiving Day and Silly Tilly Mole has quite forgotten not only that it is a special day, but she has also forgotten that she is supposed to be hosting a Thanksgiving party that very night. When Mr. Bunny and Tilly bump into each other Mr. Bunny knocks off Tilly’s glasses and then a whole series of ridiculous events unfold.

Poor Silly Tilly. First she loses her glasses, then her house fills with fog (actually it is not really fog that she is seeing but the smudges on her glasses), and then she loses her party invitations and the recipes that she needs to make the food for the party. One disaster after another overwhelms the silly little mole. Thankfully matters somehow sort themselves out despite Silly Tilly’s dreadful memory and bad eyesight.

This is one of the books in the "I Can Read" series, which is an excellent collection of books carefully written and selected for children who are just learning how to read on their own.
