It is nighttime and all the dogs, except for Nono, are asleep. Nono is lying in bed his eyes wide open, unable to sleep because Popov is snoring so loudly. Nono turns on his light and asks Misha if he is asleep, and when Misha replies Nono asks Misha if he will read him a story. Misha is happy to do this little kindness for his friend and he invites him to come over to his bed.
Pedro is now awake and he asks Nono if he can borrow one of his toys. Then fluffy Zaza asks if she can sleep in Pedro’s bed because she doesn’t like being on the bottom bunk. Pedro says no and he tells her to sleep in Misha’s bed instead, which is now empty. Kipp then wakes up and asks Zaza if he can have some of her water, and Omar and Jane wake up. In fact, everyone except for Popov, who is snoring away, is now awake.
This wonderful board book is perfect for bedtime or naptime. Little children will be tickled pink when they see how things turn out, and they will have a wonderful time watching how the dog characters move about the bedtime scene, clambering up and down bunkbed ladders.
