Christmas Eve is just around the corner, and it is time for Santa to get ready for his big night. He drags the sleigh out and quickly realizes that it needs a lot of work. When he goes to get the reindeer he discovers that they have been eating too much junk food and getting too little exercise. They are pudgy and woefully out of shape. Not surprisingly, Santa’s practice run is “less than perfect.”
Lucky for Santa, Orville the elf has an idea. He presents Santa with the schematics for a Super Santa Sleigh 3000 Jet, and by the next day the shiny red jet is all ready. It has everything that Santa could need. and on Christmas Eve Santa leaves the North Pole full of hope. Though the jet performs well, Santa cannot help feeling that something about this trip is not right. Something is missing.
With delicious touches of humor in the text and the art, David Biedrzycki gives readers a holiday story that will tickle funny bones and warm hearts.
