Here is a collection of poems that have a definite twist to them. Some are old favourites that have been given a new ‘look,’ while others are new and fresh poems that will delight and tickle the funny bone.

The poems are divided into twelve sections, each of which has a different theme. For example, there is one section dedicated to poems that about various holidays, and also one entitled “Everything’s relative,” which houses the poems about family members. Together the poems form a collection that should offer readers something for every possible occasion.

It is clear that the creators of this collection had a lot of fun putting it together, and their enjoyment comes through very well. Stephen Carpenter’s illustrations add to the inherent humour of the book and provide a backdrop for the poems.
