Pirate Pup is going to sea, off to find some plunder and some adventure. Leaving Boston far behind them, the pirates head for Nantucket and then on to the Caribbean. The "weather is fair" and best of all they don't see any cats. For, the pirates are out to retrieve some treasure that they have buried and they, only naturally, don't want the cats to see what they are up to.

Unfortunately all their efforts are in vain and the cats attack. A truly terrible fight ensues, for the cats are determined to get the gold and yet... perhaps the treasure is not what they expect.

Told with the rhythm of a bouncy sea shanty this is a picture book which will certainly entertain young pirate fans. Illustrated in a unique style with only splashes of bright color on a sandy background, readers will be keen to see what Pirate Pup and his doggy crew does next.
