Ollie is in his egg and he is refusing to come out. Gertie and Gossie the goslings are eager to see him, and they try to persuade him to hatch and leave his egg home, but for some reason Ollie is being very stubborn. He rolls around inside his egg and he drives poor Gertie and Gossie to distraction. Then the two little girl gosling come up with a plan.
Olivier Dunrea has mastered the art of telling a story without a lot of fuss. His artwork is simple and minimal, and his text is very spare. And yet readers will immediately fall in love with the little gosling who does not want to come out into the big world. They will laugh at his doings, and celebrate when he finally makes the big decision. With wonderfully comical and sweet artwork, Olivier Dunrea gives his readers something to smile about. Parents who have their own stubborn little Ollie will really appreciate this tale.
