Oliver and his family are outside one fall day when Oliver sees a wonderful big yellow leaf drift past. While his mother hangs up the wash and his father rakes leaves, Oliver sets off in pursuit of the yellow leaf – right to the edge of the woods.

When Oliver looks up, he realizes that he has lost the leaf, and his home, and everything that is familiar to him; Oliver is lost. Being a small bear who is feeling afraid, Oliver starts to cry, but crying doesn’t change the fact that he is still really lost.

This delightful board book perfectly captures the courage that we all have within us if we just take a moment to “think” before we panic. Oliver does just this, and he discovers that there is something that he can do about his situation.

With beautiful illustrations and a simple message of hope, this delightful book will resonate not just with young readers, but with grownups as well.
