One day Mouse and his Mousegirl are sitting on a branch and Mouse is telling his lady love how much he adores and values her. He tells her that if they were on separate sides of the world he would walk around the planet so that he could be with her - no matter what. Even if there were mountains barring his path, or deserts to traverse, or oceans full of mouse-eating crocodiles to cross. He would even build a flying machine if he had to, and if his precious Mousegirl was being kidnapped he would come to her rescue with his trusty rope to tie the criminals up with.

Then the branch that the two mice are sitting on breaks and they fall to the forest floor where they come face to face with a cat. Now Mouse has the chance to prove his true worth right in front of his girlfriend. How will he fare? Will he save his precious love from the ferocious feline or will he run for his life?

In this delightful picture book a loquacious lover has great adventures and takes great risks for the sake of his precious mouse lady – in his imagination. Of course it is quite another story when he is faced with the real thing; when he presented with fangs, fur, and claws in the flesh. Wonderful illustrations and a delightful thread of humor which runs throughout the book makes this a title which readers of all ages can appreciate and enjoy.
