When you are a small child, even the most commonplace of things seem wonderful and amazing. A little ladybug is a miracle, and a cow is an enormous creature that fills you with awe and perhaps a little fear as well. Exploring your world takes up much of your time.

In this tabbed board book we are taken to six different locations to find out what we can expect to see in those places. To adult eyes the things we see on the pages are just everyday objects, but to a child they are the things that they can explore or play with, things that excite them or give them joy. As they look at the annotated pictures, little children will start learning the names of the things that they are looking at, and perhaps they will associate those things with good times as well.

The first place we will visit is the park. Here we are shown photos of a kite, a flower, a puppy, a duck, a slide and more. At the farm, which comes next, we see lots of animals, as well as a barn, a sheaf of wheat, and a tractor. The beach comes next and here we see a sand castle, sunglasses, and, of course, an ice-cream cone. Preschool, the zoo, and a birthday party are the other locations that we get to visit.

With its thick, tabbed, board pages and its annotated full-color photos, this board book will delight little children who are starting to learn the names of the objects that they see in their world.
