Imagine if you can what our world would be like if there were no colors. Life would surely be a lot less beautiful than it is now. In this color-rich book, little children will meet some of the colors that we see every day. For each color they will see the name of that color and photographs of objects that are that color.

Thus on the first page we see a large red circle in the middle of the page and the word “Red” is written above it. Around the circle we see labeled photos of a fire truck, a ladybug, a skirt, a toy car, a bicycle, a towel, and a strawberry, all of which are shades of red.

One of the wonderful things about colors is that they can be changed with you combine two or more of them to give you a new color. So, on the page that faces the red circle we see a yellow tinted window and we are told “When you mix yellow and red, you get…” and when we turn the page the red circle has miraculously become orange.

Later on in the book we encounter a page that focuses on the color blue and we find out what happens when you overlay a red tinted window over a blue circle.

This book provides little children with a perfect introduction to the colors red, yellow, and blue and children will enjoy seeing how combinations of these colors produce orange, green and purple. The labeled photos that appear throughout the book will help children learn the names of everyday objects, and children will also begin the process of word recognition.
