It is a windy spring day, and Mouse and his Momma go outside to play. In the tall grass Mouse finds something that is “glittery and flittery.” He has no idea what the creature is until his mother explains that it is a butterfly. Just then a big gust of wind blows up and the butterfly flies away.

Soon Mouse finds another curious creature. This time it is under a leaf, and it is “slithery and slimy.” Momma tells her little child that the animal is a snail, and when the wind sends a “whoosh!” around then, Mouse is able to see how the snail is able to hide in its home.

In this sweet seasonal book, a young mouse explores the countryside on a spring day. Young children will enjoy sharing the mouse’s adventures, and they will also be pleased when they know the answers to Mouse’s questions.

This is one in a series of books about Mouse.
