There once was a little girl who lived in a castle, and though she had a good life there, there was once thing that she did not have but that she wanted more than anything; she wanted a dragon “for a friend.” The girl was so lonely for wanting a dragon friend that she cried and cried. Her tears trickled down the stairs of the castle, across the bridge, and out into the countryside. They traveled all the way to a mountain cave.
In the cave lived a dragon who more than anything wanted a little girl to be his friend. The little girl’s tears dripped down onto the sleeping dragon and woke him up. The dragon decided to follow that “silver trail” of tears to see where it lead.
Friendship is a precious thing, and this warming and beautiful picture book celebrates true friendship with a lovely story and gorgeous illustrations.
