One day Little Owl is napping in a tree next to his mother when he tips over and…falls to the ground with a “Bump…Bump…Bump.” Luckily, Squirrel sees what happens and the kindly animal is willing to help Little Owl find his mother. Squirrel asks Owl what his mother looks like. Little Owl tells Squirrel that his mother is “VERY BIG,” so Squirrel takes Little Owl to…a bear.

Poor Little Owl explains that the bear is not his mother. His mother has pointy ears. Undaunted, Squirrel leads Little Owl to an animal that has pointy ears, which turns out to be a hare. Who knew that it was going to be so hard to find Little Owl’s mother.

In this delightfully sweet and gently funny board book, little children will meet an owl child who has a problem. They will love the way Squirrel and the Frog get involved in the search, and will be charmed by the lovely illustrations. The story is beautifully paced so that children will be eager to turn the pages to find out what happens next.
