Florence Nightingale

Florence Nightingale was a woman who broke with convention and who dared to do something for people who were less fortunate than she was. She fought to improve the conditions in hospitals, and demonstrated how important it was that hospitals during war and peace time should be clean and well managed. She cared for the sick with compassion and courage.
