The leaves on the trees are changing color, the pumpkins in the field are ripe, and Kitten is outside exploring. Under the trees, Kitten sees Porcupine eating a lost shoe, and Chipmunk nibbling on some grass. Next to the water, from a safe hiding place, Kitten sees Bear licking some honey. Not far away Beaver “chomps” on a branch and Frog catches an insect.
With her simple rhyming text and her stunning multimedia art, Eugenie Fernandes gives her readers a lovely picture of a beautiful autumn day. Little children will enjoy trying to find Kitten who is artfully hidden in several of the spreads.
