There can be no doubt that knitting has become a very popular hobby in the last few years. All kinds of beautiful and fun yarns are now available but it can be a little intimidating to learn this enjoyable and creative craft.

This well written and easy to follow book sets the stage for novice knitters helping them to develop the techniques and skills that they need to make several simple and yet attractive projects. To begin with the author teaches her readers how to knit, purl, cast on, increase, decrease, and bind off. Then she begins the projects but the learning process has not ended for many tricks and techniques are incorporated into the project instructions as well.

Young knitters will learn how to make scarves, a headband, a hat, slipper socks, a blanket, a pillow, a book bag, a purse, mittens, and a furry feathery boa. Photographs show the finished projects and detailed clear illustrations help the reader see how everything is done.
