When a group of animal friends goes to the park to play on the playground equipment you have to expect that a certain number of unusual things are going to happen.
For example, if a mouse and an elephant are in close proximity, there is a good chance that the elephant is going to freak out. It might even climb a pole and so that it can get away from the mouse on the ground. Some of the animals might even find that the playground equipment presents some challenges. If a rhino sits on a swing it is likely that the frame of the swing will bend under the rhino’s weight. Similarly, if the rhino climbs to the top of the climbing structure it might, just might, get rather stuck.
Children are going to laugh out loud when they see what happens when the animals in this book try to swing on swings, climb on the monkey bars, slide down the slide, and clamber up the rock wall. They will also get to learn many opposites words and see what the differences between the words are. At the back of the book children are invited to count how many times the animals appear on the pages.
