“It’s that time of year again,” so you had better get ready to be busy for a while. Christmas is just around the corner and there are all kinds of preparations to be made. There are cookies to be baked and visits to be made. There are decorations to be created and to be hung. Then there are presents to be bought or made, depending how you like to do things (or how much money you have to spend).
And then, when Christmas Eve finally arrives, the last touches are completed. Stockings are hung “where Santa will find them” and a snack is put out for him. And now children have nothing left to do but wait. And we all know how hard that is to do.
In this delightfully simple yet perfectly sweet little book Tina Burke captures the true joys of Christmas. Her cheerful artwork is touched with humor which little children are sure to appreciate and to enjoy, and one cannot help feeling warmed and hopeful as one gets to the last page.
