If you were a bear, what would you look like? What would you like to eat and how would you get your food? Well, it would all depend on what kind of bear you were.

In this wonderful picture book we learn about eight very different bear species. We begin by imagining what it would be like to be the most loved bear species in the world, the panda. We would have a “black-and-white suit,” black “eye patches,” and we would eat a great deal of bamboo.

Later on in the book we imagine what our life would be like if we were a polar bear. In our “white as snow” fur we would “peek through the ice” to see if we could see any seals. If we were a sun bear, we would have an incredibly long tongue, which we would use to get honey.

With its wonderful rhyming text and Wendell Minor’s gorgeous artwork, this special picture book will delight children who have a fondness for bears. At the back of the book readers will find more “Bear Fun Facts” about the eight bear species featured in the book.
