It is the last day of Hanukkah and a little girl and her family are going to have a wonderful celebration. Cousins, aunts and uncles come over and they gather in the kitchen to cook latkes together. Together they light the candles of the menorah, eight candles for each of the days and one in the middle to light them with. Together they sit down to eat and then, at last, the children gather on the living room floor to play with a dreidel which the little girl made out of clay.

In a lilting rhyming format the author tells a charming story of how a little girl and her family celebrate the last day of Hanukkah. After each verse of the ?narrative? the little girl sings the classic dreidel song as a refrain and we are left in no doubt that playing with the dreidel will be one of the little girl?s favorite events of the evening.

At the back of the book readers will find a recipe for latkes, directions for how to play dreidel, and the music for the dreidel song
