Buzz and his pet fly, Fly Guy, do a lot of things together, and it therefore feels perfectly natural that when Buzz goes to play football, Fly Guy goes with him. When they get to the playing field Coach says that need one more player. Not surprisingly, Buzz says that Fly Guy can fill the spot, which makes Coach and the other players laugh. They are convinced that a fly cannot possibly play football. Unfortunately, when Fly Guy tries to kick the ball, catch a pass, and tackle Buzz his small size turns out be a real problem. It would appear that Coach was right. Fly Guy cannot play football.
Thankfully Coach says that Fly Guy can still come to the game. The day before the game Fly Guy and Buzz do their best to get Fly Guy ready to play. Maybe Coach will change his mind and let Fly Guy play after all. When they get to the field the next day Coach tells them that he has found a new player and poor Fly Guy has to sit on the bench.
In this funny Fly Guy story children will enjoy reading about how Fly Guy finds a way to participate in a football game. Sometimes, in order to join an activity, you have to find your own unique way to do so.
