When Grasper the crab molts for the first time he feels simply wonderful. Why, he feels that he can do anything. His friends all warn him of this strange phenomena and tell him that he must not to give in to his feelings but Grasper cannot help wondering if there really is “another world out there” and before he quite knows what he is doing, the little crab leaves the only place he has ever known for the great world beyond.
What Grasper finds is a glorious and fascinating world which is more extraordinary than he could ever have imagined. There is so much food to be had, so many beautiful creatures to look at, so many dangers to be wary of. There are also new friends to be made and as Grasper walks about, looks, and listens, he learns a great deal about himself and about the watery world that he lives in. Most important of all Gasper realizes that one has to follow ones heart and sometimes one has to take a few risks.
Gorgeous illustrations show the reader how beautiful, vivid and exciting Grasper’s world is.
