It is winter, and Billy and his grandma are getting ready for the Carol Sing. Since Thanksgiving, people have been knitting mittens and practicing their carol singing for the event, so Billy is very upset when he hears that a blizzard is on its way. How will they get to the Carol Sing if a storm dumps feet of snow on everything? Grandma tells Billy not to worry because “Buster is out in his truck. He’ll get the roads cleared.”

During the wintertime, Grandma runs a snowplowing business. Her three sons drive the trucks, and they are very good at what they do. However, this storm turns out to be too much for Grandma’s snowplowing trucks. Both Buster and Burt’s trucks are stuck, and Bill isn’t able to drive a truck at all because he has a broken leg. There is only one thing to do, Grandma is going to have to drive the third truck herself.

This is a delightful holiday book that children who live in snowy climes will especially enjoy.
