One day a little girl gets a box in the mail and inside the box, there are seven fortune cookies, one cookie for every day of the week. On Sunday, the fortune in her cookie says, “Today you will lose something you don’t need,” and that very day the little girl loses her tooth. On Monday, the fortune in her cookie tells her that “Money is like the wind.” What can this mean? The little girl soon finds out, because that very day she finds money under her pillow and she uses it to buy a kite. On Tuesday, the little girl’s fortune tells her to “Try to find the good with the bad.” What good thing is the fortune talking about?

In this innovative novelty book, children get to follow an interesting little story that is full of surprises. As they pull the fortunes out of the seven cookies, young readers will be kept guessing as to what will happen next.

Throughout the book Chris Raschka’s wonderful water illustrations perfectly compliment the engaging text.
