When Fluffy, a very ‘cute’ and dandified looking poodle, is taken off his yacht by a dreadful looking pack of pirates, the poodle is sure that his time has come. Thankfully though, Fluffy is fluffy only in his appearance. When it comes to using his brains, he is as sharp as they come.
Quickly realizing that his enemies are not all that intelligent, Fluffy announces that he is none other than “Fluffy the Scourge of All the Sea.” He then sets about proving how tough he is. He also decides that the pirate ship might be a very comfortable place to live. All his needs to do is to depose the captain and reform the crew. Carefully, craftily, and skillfully Fluffy, a dog of many talents, sets about getting what he wants.
Readers will laugh at loud as they read this funny and entertaining swashbuckling tale. Fluffy, complete with a pink bow and a fancy poodle haircut, is clearly not the kind of dog who should be underestimated. Indeed he personifies the rule that it never pays to judge a person, or a dog, by his or her appearance.
Wonderfully expressive and detailed illustrations executed in watercolor and colored pencils bring the characters in the story to life.
