Pig and his farmyard friends are most put out because Farmer Jolly’s jobs on Flippety Farm are “in a muddle.” Farmer Jolly has forgotten to let out the geese, he has given the cow chicken feed to eat, and Pig has no straw in his lemonade. To make matters worse, Farmer Jolly is just too tired to notice that anything is wrong. What is wrong with the farmer, why is he so worn out?

That night Pig notices that something is going on in the barn. “So that is why he is tired,” Pig says.  The very next morning Pig calls a meeting. The animals are going to have to have to help Farmer Jolly with his secret project, otherwise the man is going to be too tired to get his farm chores done properly. Which is how Pig, Cow, and the others end up having a very unusual adventure.

Children are sure to love this funny farm tale that is, without a doubt, quite unlike any other farm tale. With wonderful illustrations and a clever format, this is a picture book that children will want to read again and again.
