We are visiting a bakery and there is lots to be done, so put on your apron and baker’s hat, grab some colors, and let’s get to work. We begin by coloring in the first scene, which shows a baker at work. It looks as if he has been busy. There are already some cupcakes, muffins and pies sitting on a table waiting for us. Next, we are asked to decorate the cupcakes. We cannot tell what flavors they are so we asked to also label them as well. The cupcakes are not the only baked goods that need decorating. There are doughnuts too that need some sprinkles to make them colorful.

The decorating that we did was just the beginning because next we have to draw what is baking in the oven, and apparently something is cooling on the counter and we need to draw that too. Of course, working in a bakery means that you also have to bake and decorate cakes, make cookies, make bread, get cookies into the oven (they appear to have lost their way), figure out what the baker is going to make and so on.

This book is full of drawings to color, puzzles to solve, connect the dot activities, and so much more. Young artists who love food, and have a sweet tooth, are going to have fun going through the book and filling the pages with color and delicious looking desserts and treats.
