If you go snorkeling on a coral reef you will soon discover that many of the creatures who live in that environment are colorful. Their bodies are covered with bright hues, and many of them also have dots, stripes, or squiggles on their skins or shells. Some have a combination of these elements, and there are even a few that have all three!
In this board book a minimal text is paired with gorgeous illustrations so that little children can see for themselves how dots, stripes, and squiggle motifs are found on the bodies of nine sea creatures. They will see fish, a lobster, an octopus, and a gorgeous species of jellyfish
At the back of the book the author provides her young audience with the names of all the animals that appear on the pages.
