Have you ever felt the need to draw something and yet, when confronted with a blank page, cannot think of a single thing to draw? Suddenly the mind is blank and inspiration does not seem to be able to come up with any ideas at all. For such times this book is the perfect answer for it gets the creative juices flowing once more. Taro Gomi sets down the bare bones of an idea on the page for you. What you do with those bare bones is up to you. For example on one double page spread Gomi draws the ground and a few small plants. Then he tells you that "spring has arrived. Imagine what has been sprouting." Just think of what you can do with all that open space on the page, all the plants and flowers that you can draw. Of course one imagines that a number of birds and insects will probably find their way on to the pages as well.
With humor and wonderfully creative ideas Taro Gomi has created a coloring and doodling book for artists of all ages. Doodlers will be delighted with the pages and pages of ideas that they get to choose from. The hard part will be putting down ones crayons and pencils to have meals and to go to bed. Just one more page... please!
