Making sweet treats that are not only tasty but also attractive to the eye is something many of us like to do. Using this book, young cooks will be able to turn their cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other desserts into works of art. Best of all, their creations will be delicious!
All you will need to make the creations in this book is cake, cookies, cookie dough, sprinkles (and other candies) and the ingredients that are needed to make the icing and candy clay. The icing and candy clay can be colored with gel colors to make them bright and cheerful, and you can using piping bags to add twirls, dots and other designs to your desserts. Once you have figured out how to make what you need and how to use the tools, you are ready to decorate.
The book is divided into four seasonal sections. For the fall, you can make candy clay pumpkins that you can place in a cookie crumb pumpkin field. For winter, you can make gumdrop mittens that you can use to embellish ice cream or cupcakes. Make miniature gardens on top of cupcakes (complete with little umbrellas) for spring. For summer, brightly colored cookie flowers on lollipop sticks are the perfect touch for almost any dessert.
In addition to the book, this kit includes five cookie cutters that you can use to make some of the creations in the book.
