It is a lovely spring day and Daddy Fox is out and about with his little son, Little Fox. Daddy Fox shows Little Fox that animals of all kinds are building nests for their babies, or spring cleaning their old nests. Little Fox thinks it would be wonderful if they built a new home too, just like Mrs. Finch. He suggests that they build a nest in a tree, but Father Fox explains that foxes don’t build their homes in trees. Next Little Fox suggests that they live in a mouse hole or a mole burrow, but neither of these homes would suit a pair of foxes. What kind of a home should the foxes have?

This sweet picture book looks at the different kinds of homes that animals live in, and it celebrates the closeness that a father and his son share.
