A little girl and her two brothers Karl and Bill live in a place called Noisy Village. It is actually a group of three houses, but there are so many children living there that everyone calls it Noisy Village. For everyone in Noisy Village Christmas is a "happy time" and not surprisingly this is especially the case for the many children, for there are so many wonderful things to do during the Christmas season. Luckily for us, we the readers are going to find out what it was like to be in this little Swedish village covered with snow last Christmas.

There can be no doubt that the children of Noisy Village have a wonderful time at Christmas making gingersnap cookies, getting and decorating the Christmas trees, wrapping gifts, singing carols, and sharing in other traditions that are unique to Sweden. Lively illustrations seem to glow with the children’s energy as they bake, walk through the woods, eat wonderful treats, and hear the Christmas story.

This enthusiastic picture book is perfect for readers who like to hear how people in different parts of the world celebrate the holidays.
