If you are of a nervous and easily frightened disposition you might want to step back from this book because it is full of things that are creepy, bone chilling, and fantastical. If you like such things then take a seat and prepare yourself for a fascinating adventure.

The journey begins as we walk past the cemetery and into the town. From there we are asked to go up the hill to the castle that sits on the top. Once you are inside the castle go up the stairs to the top of the tower. In the tower you will find a weird looking wardrobe. Open the doors and you will see all kinds of bizarre things. One of these things holds a secret that will make your hair stand on end.

The actual story in this book is a very simple one, but the three-dimensional illustrations are incredibly and wonderfully detailed. Children – and adults for that matter – will have a splendid time looking for the things the author has hidden in the three dimensional scenes he has created. As readers get closer and closer to their objective they will realize that they are literally zooming in. The effect is quite startling and very effective. Though this book can be enjoyed throughout the year, it is without a doubt the perfect title to read on Halloween.

This is one in a series of Can you see what I see books.
