It is a snowy day, and Brownie and her pet cat Pearl are off to town to “see the sights.” Dressed in her hat, a coat, mittens, a scarf, pink boots, and her handbag Brownie is ready for anything. Pearl is wearing a warm hat and scarf, but she has no use for a handbag. She takes her favourite toy mouse with her instead.

The two friends decide to begin their expedition with a visit to the hat shop. Brownie loves hats, and she tries on an enormous green hat that is covered with seasonal decorations.

After the hat shop, Brownie and Pearl go to a shoe shop where Brownie tries on a pair of fancy ladies shoes. Pearl like the boots best.

This simple yet charming seasonal book celebrates the little adventures that two good friends can have doing things are quite ordinary, but that are still special.
